The Essential Brands Group Corporate Advisory Board is responsible for overseeing the corporate responsibility for the Essential Brands Group.
Tony Freestone - CEO and Founder – Freestone Law
Tony commenced an article clerkship with the Sydney firm, Robert Burge & Company in or about January 1974, completing final year of law exams at the end of 1975.
Tony Worked as an employed solicitor until approximately 1981 when admitted as a full and equal partner to the firm D S Timmins & Co., (later to become Timmins Freestone & Maxwell).
In 1985 Tony established a branch office of the practice on Sydney's North Shore and retired from the firm as a partner in November 1987, taking up a consultancy with the firm.
In May 1987 Tony was offered a position as one of the twelve legal Counsel employed world-wide by the Asian Development Bank ("ADB") whose head office was situated in Manila.
Prior to taking up this position accepted the position of Managing Director of a group of companies incorporated in the Colony of Hong Kong. Later declined to accept the offer to join the ADB because of the political turmoil in the Philippines at the time.
Tony took up the employment position in Hong Kong in April 1988, being responsible for the maintenance of all financial records and the establishment and management of the business. During this time consulted to Messrs Timmins Freestone & Maxwell on a regular basis.
Tony returned to Australia in September 1989 and was employed as a consultant to Carringbush Corporation Pty Ltd involving legal and property consulting services.
In 1992, Tony set up the Firm Freestone & Kumnick with Peter Jamieson Kumnick, a partner of the firm then known as Kinsey Bennett & Gill. The Partnership was dissolved in August, 2009.
In Sept 2009 set up the Firm Freestone Law Pty Ltd.
